Darcy is an experienced dietitian who has worked across both private practice and in the hospital setting for several years. Having trained initially in a Bachelor of Nutritional Therapy, Darcy focuses on bringing a safe space to talk about all things food and bodies. She has a warm and welcoming approach, with a deep passion for supporting her clients to achieve a positive relationship with food and untangle what health and nutrition means for different people. Darcy truly believes you are the expert of your own body, and nutrition is much more than calories and macros.
Darcy is experienced in managing a range of chronic and complex health conditions. Her focus is on sustainable practical change, taking into account all facets of health. She believes in always seeing the person behind the diagnosis and is passionate about providing approachable, client-centred & non-judgemental care, focusing on nutritional therapy through a non-diet and HAES lens.
Darcy specialises in the following areas of practice;
Eating Disorders and disordered eating; including AN, AAN, BN, BED, ARFID and body image concerns.*
Tube feeding (PEG, NG, NJ, PEJ), including Blenderised Tube Feeding (BTF) regimens.
Neurodivergence; ADHD, ASD and mental health conditions.
Gastrointestinal conditions and diseases, including stoma management.
Darcy works with adolescence and adults.
When not working you will find Darcy travelling, hanging out with her fluffy dog Yuki in the garden, playing Spyro or (poorly) attempting to do DIY.
*Please note, that we do not see acutely medically compromised clients who are currently requiring inpatient admissions or tertiary hospital ED programs. Once discharged, Darcy is keen to help you continue the recovery journey in the community. If you are unsure if you or your loved one has an eating disorder, bring your concerns to the session, if you are not ready to talk check out EDV’s resources here
